There's always something new at Fiddlehead Dental!
We are constantly in the process of putting a new system in place. We're mastering techniques that only a small fraction of dentists in the world use. And we are incorporating new materials to improve your comfort and dental experiences. Many of those cool things are covered here in the website:
- We have 9 miniature intra-oral cameras - one in every room - called the IRIS CAMERA. You don't need to trust our judgement!.. Seeing things yourself is a terrific comfort and confidence builder.
- We use computer technology, INVISALIGN, to straighten teeth without the use of metal braces.
- We are using remarkable, site-specific, ARESTIN, antibiotics to help patients avoid gum surgery and to turn the tide on gum disease.
- We are using computer technology, CEREC, to make precision restorations so our patients can avoid caps and crowns.
- Our new digital X-ray system, DEXUS, uses the very newest technology to produce dental X-rays with a fraction of the radiation of X-rays taken even 6 to 10 years ago.
- We use two kinds of lasers in our office. One, THE ODESSEY LASER, is a fabulous technology that makes procedures involving the gums far more comfortable.
- The other laser, DIAGNODENT LASER, is a small hand-held device that allows us to determine whether small cavities really need to be treated, or if they can be kept under observation!
Our team is in a constant search to bring to our patients the latest important advances in dental care and treatment comfort.
Every year the dental industry offers us a host of new "dental toys", but not all of them carry much weight in the big picture. To keep our costs to you down, we are very careful to choose only the ones that have the most benefit from the patients' standpoint. In fact, we are also careful to incorporate these advances when they are on their "third generation", because by that time, the manufacturer has made all the improvements to the technology that their early users have requested.
